A fruitful trip to South Korea

January 28, 2025 Written by CAS Staff

In December 2024, Ana Kim, the ELI’s international project manager for South Korea, had the privilege of connecting with partner universities, educational agencies and Fulbright Korea, while also exploring prospective partnerships with schools and educational consulting agencies. Read Kim’s firsthand account below.

ANA KIM’S HIGHLIGHTS

Key highlights included visiting Dankook, Hannam, Incheon National, and Yeungnam Universities, where I met with prospective students and introduced them to the American Culture and Communication Program. I also had the pleasure of meeting students from Kyonggi and Kangwon Universities in Seoul. At Fulbright Korea, I led the pre-departure orientation for the Session 3 ’25 teacher training program, a meaningful opportunity to prepare and engage with scholars.

I also reconnected with our long-standing partners, including educational consulting agencies such as Atlas Korea, SC Uhak, UWay, and Overseas Educational Corporation. Additionally, I participated in two college fairs hosted by major educational agents, which provided an excellent platform for fostering engagement and collaboration.

Last but certainly not least, I had the privilege of visiting the recently established KENTECH (Korea Institute of Energy Technology) in Naju. I was warmly welcomed and had the unique opportunity to witness the site actively under construction, showcasing the university’s vision coming to life.
