General information

  • Solanum tuberosum, Potato
  • Solanaceae family
  • Sunlight: full sun.
  • Soil conditions: prefers well-drained, light, deep, loose soil, high in organic matter.

Successful cultivars

  • Yukon Gold (Early Midseason) Large round tubers, smooth, thin skin, yellow flesh.
  • Kennebec (Midseason) Excellent all-purpose potato, buff skin, white flesh.
  • Red Gold (Early) Early variety red skin, yellow flesh.
