Education History:
- Bachelor of Science in Plant & Soil Science and Agriculture & Natural Resources (Minor in Soil Science) from the University of Delaware
Currently:
- Works with a diversity of farming operations in New Castle County.
- Collabortates with partnership organizations to offer educational programs, technical assistance, and general support to the agricultural community.
Biography:
A native of New Castle County, Nick is a proud alumnus of the University of Delaware and holds a Bachelor of Science in Plant & Soil Science and Agriculture & Natural Resources with a minor in Soil Science from the UD College of Agriculture & Natural Resources. He recalls fondly the relationships he was able to build with fellow students and professors and he enjoyed working on the Newark Farm and being an Ag Ambassador for the college.
Since graduating, he has worked for Helena Agri-Enterprises, facilitating their precision agriculture program. More recently, he has served as a Soil Conservationist for the Natural Resource Conservation Service, where he facilitated Farm Bill programs to help producers improve operations and establish stronger agricultural conservation practices.
Nick is a Volunteer Firefighter at Odessa Fire Company and in his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, cooking and spending time with his family, friends and dog, Shadow!
