Bio:
Jill Pollok joined UD Cooperative Extension in 2020 after working at the Virginia Tech Eastern Shore Agricultural Research and Extension Center, where she served as a plant pathology research specialist. There, she ran experimental field trials on vegetables and field crops and headed the plant disease clinic, which received 150-200 samples per year.
In 2015, Jill received her master’s degree in Plant Pathology from Virginia Tech, working on varietal resistance to root-knot nematodes in tobacco. She received her bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Agroecology from Penn State in 2011 and worked for the Penn State Plant Disease Clinic for a year before going to graduate school.
Jill enjoys hiking, walking her two dogs and creating art. She’s very excited to start this new journey serving the community through the University of Delaware!
