Blueprint Communities® Program
A Community Revitalization Initiative of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh in partnership with the University of Delaware Center for Community Research and Service
Mission
The mission of the Blueprint Communities program is to serve as a catalyst for revitalization resulting in sustainable, healthy communities by energizing local leaders, residents, and stakeholders by facilitating holistic community planning, and encouraging public and private investments.
Blueprint Communities® provides training, technical assistance, coaching, and financial support to groups of people from selected communities in Delaware who seek to develop and implement plans that revitalize their communities.
FHLBank Pittsburgh developed the Blueprint Communities program in order to assist communities in need of revitalization. The University of Delaware Center for Community Research and Service (CCRS) partners with FHLBank Pittsburgh to implement the Blueprint Communities program for selected Delaware communities.
Active Blueprint Communities
In 2017, FHLBank Pittsburgh and the CCRS awarded Blueprint Communities Delaware designations to two new teams in Delaware upon successful completion of the training program and finalization of their revitalization plans.
CCRS continued to support these two communities through 2021 as they built their organizational capacity and worked towards implementation of the strategies developed during the planning process. The initiatives have been successfully sustained through the leadership of team members, partnering stakeholders and community involvement.
