Biography
Keihan Hassanzadehkermanshahi is a third-year Ph.D. student in Energy and Environmental Policy at the University of Delaware, focusing on urban planning and growth management. His research explores the effectiveness of growth management strategies in curbing urban sprawl, particularly in Delaware’s Sussex County. Using spatial and statistical analysis, he examines urban development patterns, land use, and the intersection of environmental policies with sustainable urban planning.
Hassanzadehkermanshahi is working on multiple research papers, including an analysis of equity and justice in New Castle County's comprehensive planning and a study on community perspectives regarding capping I-95 in Wilmington. He also serves as a representative in the Biden School Student Association, advocating for students within the ENEP program. He aims to bridge academic insights with practical solutions, advancing sustainable and equitable development through energy-conscious planning.
