Biography
Professor Yanich’s research focuses on the nexus among media, public policy and citizenship and how citizens form the cognitive map that guides their actions. His recent work has addressed media consolidation and political communication. It is frequently cited by policy makers, media advocates, scholars and journalists. His book, Buying Reality: Political Ads, Money and Local Television News, was published in April 2020.
