Roger Huston

Job Title: Dean of the School of Business, Kentucky Christian University
Dr. Roger Huston (Ph.D '19) serves as the dean of the School of Business at Kentucky Christian University. In addition to his academic career, Huston enjoys consulting on leadership and administrative issues with churches and human service nonprofits as well as teaching at colleges and universities in the areas of economics, business, public policy, and political science. Over the past two decades, Huston has served in leadership positions, such as being the director of Testify—a religious education nonprofit organization. He also served as a Young Adult Director and a Youth Director in the churches of Christ.
Huston graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Religion with Honors from Simpson College. He then earned a Master of Arts in Religion from Yale University. Roger also holds a Master of Public Administration from Iowa State University and a Ph.D. in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware. Roger was a UD Dissertation Fellow, and his dissertation focused on nonprofit faith-based organizations.
While at the Biden School, Roger served with the Delaware Education Research & Development Center, Center for Community Research & Service, and Center for Applied Demography & Survey Research, where he expanded his research skills in project and program evaluation, participant interviewing, and data collection and analysis. He also collaborated with faculty and staff on issues such as university-community partnerships, community development, nonprofit advocacy, and technology and social change.
