Paige Gugerty (B.S. '15) joined athenahealth in Watertown, Massachusetts after graduating from the University of Delaware in May 2015.  athenahealth provides cloud-based services and mobile applications for healthcare providers.  At athena, Gugerty works on the teams that build out and support electronic connections between healthcare providers and labs, imaging centers, and hospitals.  At Delaware, Gugerty led the installation of an award-winning Philadelphia Flower Show exhibit, an experience that she credits with developing project management skills.  She also published a Health Equity Guide with Dr. Erin Knight, which enabled her to take a deep look at healthcare inequalities.  A lifelong learner, Gugerty is thrilled to work in a culture where teaching and learning is encouraged at athena.  One of Gugerty's favorite parts about Delaware was the bridge between leadership, innovation, and creativity, which helped her develop problem-solving skills and dive into wicked problems.  Overall, Gugerty is extremely grateful for the faculty and students in SPPA for encouraging her to take on challenging projects and work across disciplines.
