Job Title: Executive Director, Colonial Academic Alliance

Lindsey Interlante (MPA '07) is the Executive Director of the Colonial Academic Alliance, a nonprofit organization that advances undergraduate research, innovative teaching, leadership development, and social responsibility at ten higher education institutions, including the University of Delaware.

During her time at UD, Interlante worked at the Institute for Public Administration, examining the efficacy of economic development efforts in Delaware municipalities and conducting fiscal analyses as an off-site Research Assistant at the State of Delaware Office of Management and Budget in Dover. She leveraged the analytical skills developed in these experiences to earn a second master's degree from Arizona State University, studying geography and the spatial dimensions of poverty.

While in Arizona, Interlante began teaching at Scottsdale Community College, an experience that incited a passion for higher education and student success. Back on the East Coast, Interlante kicked off her higher education career through advocacy work and policy research at the American Association of Community Colleges in Washington, DC. With a desire to strongly impact student success, Interlante pursued increasingly responsible positions that allowed her to implement strategic initiatives on campuses – first as the Associate Director of Benchmarking and Strategic Planning at Drexel University and later as the Director of Institutional Effectiveness for the Virginia Community College System.

Interlante believes strongly in the value of higher education and advocates for students to pursue transformative, hands-on learning experiences – like she did at UD's Institute for Public Administration.

Interlante currently resides in Baltimore, and established a home office for the Alliance on Towson University's campus in Towson, MD.
