Jorge Hernandez-Limon

Job Title: Engineering and Water Resource Planner, Army Corp of Engineers
Jorge is a first-generation college student and a local from Delaware. He was fortunate to receive a financial support to attend UD with an academic civil engineering scholarship, and he double-majored in political science. During his political science coursework, he further developed interests in policy and its application as they relate to engineering. He decided to pursue a Master of Public Policy degree in the Biden School. During his time there, he developed policy problem-solving policy communication skills through coursework and fellowships to work alongside city and state legislative bodies. Through these experiences, Jorge utilized these skills to start a career in the Army Corp of Engineers, where he will be at the intersection of civil work projects. As a Water Resource Planner, Jorge works with stakeholders to consider economic, social, and engineering principles in water infrastructure projects at the Federal level.
