Job Title: Town Manager, Town of Townsend

Antonina Tantillo graduated with her Bachelor Arts in public policy and political science in 2017, and earned her Master of Public Administration in 2019 from the Biden School of Public Policy and Administration. During her time at the Biden School, she developed the necessary skills to pursue a career in both nonprofit and government management. She had the opportunity to work for various nonprofit organizations including the In Trust Center for Theological Studies, Rodel, the Delaware Community Foundation, the Center for Community Research and Service, and served as a summer field intern with Catholic Charities, USA.  She gained rich experience in local government work, by serving as an Urban Policy Fellow for the city of Wilmington and also as a Summer Local Government Management Fellow for both the Towns of Milton and Fenwick Island. Each of these opportunities along with her time in the Biden School led her to a successful career as the Town Manager of the Town of Townsend, where she initially started as the Town Clerk in 2020. During her time there, she has collaborated with town council members to achieve the goals of the town as outlined in the comprehensive plan, managed the day-to-day of the town’s activities, managed numerous projects, applied for grants, and planned and organized community events.
