I have consulted with academic units such as the Salk Institute and the Language Research Center at Georgia State University as well as with individuals at various universities and colleges on their research projects. In addition, I consult with private sector companies in a variety of industries that make products for children including K’Nex, Megablocks, Highlights Magazine and Jigsaw Toys, Crayola, and Sesame Street. We greatly enjoy applying our knowledge about children’s development and learning to media and products made for children.
I also advise two children’s museums. I am on the Education Advisory Council of the Port Discovery Children’s Museum in Baltimore and on the Board of the Delaware Children’s Museum, due to open in the Fall of 2010.
