This patient has been diagnosed with CML. 1. Describe a typical peripheral blood smear for an individual with CML. 2. Define the term Philadelphia chromosome. 3. Is the prognosis better or worse for individual's with the Philadelphia chromosome? 4. How does the LAP special stain help to differentiate CML from a leukemoid reaction?
