My undergraduate education took place at Oxford University, where I was a member of Wadham College. I graduated in 2003 with a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics.

After college, I worked for the Equal Opportunities Commission [Comisiwn Cyfle Cyfartal] in Wales. The EOC, which worked on gender equality issues, was disbanded shortly after I left (correlation, not causation) and became part of the new Commission on Equality and Human Rights.

I joined Harvard University’s Department of Government as a graduate student in Fall 2004, and defended my dissertation in Spring 2009. In the Fall of 2009, I joined the University of Delaware’s Political Science and International Relations Department as an Assistant Professor. I am also a faculty member of the Center for Political Communication at UD.
