Dr. Obrusnikova
 

Dr. Obrusnikova joined the faculty in the Department of Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Sciences (HNES) at the University of Delaware in July 2006.She received her Ph.D. in Kinesiology/Adapted Physical Education from Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic (2004), and spent two years (2002-2004) as a research assistant to Dr. Martin E. Block and Dr. Luke E. Kelly at the University of Virginia. She also holds a M.Sc. degree in Adapted Physical Activity from the Catholic University in Leuven, Belgium (2001), and a M.Ed. degree in Physical Education from Palacky University in Olomouc (1998). Prior to joining the University of Delaware (July 2006), she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health and Exercise Sciences at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ (2004-2006). 

Dr. Obrusnikova teaches APE and related courses to health and physical education majors, and supervises teacher candidates in the school system.  Her current research focuses on the psychosocial and behavioral variables in inclusive physical education settings.  Among other research interests are adapted physical activities for individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
