2005-present PhD work in progress in Professor George Luther's group.
Research:
Chemistry
of suboxic/anoxic marine
environments, sediments and hydrothermal vent fluids. Sulfur and
iron speciation in these
settings. Oceanography of the Black
Sea.
Cruises:
- September 2006: Lau Basin,
Southwestern Pacific with the research vessel MELVILLE of Scripps and
ROV Jason.
- January 2007: East Pacific Rise 9
North with research vessel ATLANTIS and DSV Alvin of WHOI.
Participated in Alvin dive #4304 to a 2511 m deep vent field.
- Several oceanographic cruises in
the Delaware, Chesapeake Bays and NW Atlantic Ocean with R/V Sharp of
UD.
