of the same religious figure. Identify the theme depicted in each scene, and discuss
the particular ideas about death and afterlife represented in them. Explain
also the message intended in each case in relation to the place in which these
paintings are located.

the first paragraph, followed by a discussion of the featured examples,
supported by visual and textual evidence. The maximum extension of the paper is
3 pages (double spaced, 11-point font, and margins of 1”). Remember to state

and specific references from your assigned readings or other textbooks to
support your answer.
