In this simulation, families continue doing all the things you have seen previously. They try to remain together yet avoid interspersing with other families when possible. They have a randomly created schedule to follow, but here is where a new feature is added. In this case, the pedestrians sometimes know where a destination is but sometimes don't. When they don't they search for a source of information, something like a shopping mall or subway map. After learning from the information source, they continue on their way.

In the simulation above, you'll notice that the groups' schedules float above them, some letters in black, some in red. (Any group without a schedule shown, simply means they are passing through the simulated area with no stops.) Black means they know how to get to that destination, and red means they don't at present know how to. After going to the place marked "Info" they study the map, learn the information, and proceed. This can realistically model congestion points, and even in this simple example shows how helpful it is to have either multiple information sources or information source that can be seen from much further away.
