SEARCH ENGINES:
-
http://Magellan.excite.com/
Magellan is a search engine designed to search the internet by topics.
I chose science and found my way through topics until the cougar was found.
-
http://www.altavista.com/
Altavista is a useful search engine for searching by topic as well.
This engine also searches by categories, breaking down until you find your
specific topic.
-
http://www.yahoo.com/
Another useful search engine designed to search for sites about your topic.
I like this one for its ease of use.
-
http://www.yahooligans.com/
This a search engine for children. I love this one for its ease of
use and the children-appropriate sites.
LISTSERVS:
-
http://www.surfnetkids.com/
This listserv is a great site that evaluates children's web sites on a
weekly basis. You're never bombarded with too much mail and the topics
of past research are stored for your convenience. Just search under
a category or topic and information available is at your finger tips.
Great resource for sites in all areas.
