Greetings! Welcome to the home page for Space Station Alpha. We are located in room 22 at Thurgood Marshall School. We are in our ninth year of operation and our eighth class of ensigns graduated in June, 2006. Our ninth class of cadets is due to arrive on board in late August.
Allow me to introduce myself. I am Lynne Bloom, commander of Space Station Alpha. I am a second grade teacher in my eighteenth year of educating young children. I am employed by the Christina School District and have spent my last thirteen years at Thurgood Marshall School. I am married to Robert Bloom and we have two daughters named Jodi and Christine. In addition to my teaching career I enjoy gardening in our Butterfly Garden at school and in my own 18 foot round Buterfly Garden at home. I enjoy collecting thimbles, reading, and listening to music, especially when the music is in the form of the U of D Marching Band! (My daughter and husband are alumni band members of 30 years.) I also enjoy space and that is where the idea originated to turn my classroom into a working space station. My Story
