You will create a lesson plan idea wherein your students will create a concept map using Inspiration or Webspiration. Live text will be used to create and submit this assignment.

Technology Inventory
You will complete a technology inventory for your teaching placement. You will submit this assignment online at this link.  
Due: October 8

Web D.I.G.
Create a web D.I.G.  to reinforce literacy, math, science or social studies skills. Live Text will be used to create and submit this assignment.  
Due: October 15

Collaboration Tools
In small groups you will create a presentation on the uses of a collaborative Internet-based tool.  
Due: November 5

Reflection on Teaching with Technology Essay
You will try out one of your projects with a student in your placement school in May.  Write a two page reflection about the experience.
Due:  December 3

Participation
This course relies upon the active participation and collaboration of those enrolled. Class should be considered a safe environment to pose thoughtful questions and share new ideas. To actively participate in class, you are expected to stay on task and give class discussion and projects your full focus.   It is possible to earn 30 points each class.  Participation points will be averaged at the end of the term.  If you are not in class you cannot earn points.  Documented extenuating circumstances will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Evaluation:

Your course grade will be based on the fulfillment and quality of the required assignments. The quality of work is based upon the instructor’s professional judgment.  A written assignment with significant errors will not receive full credit. Be sure to proofread your work. If you have difficulty constructing written assignments, make an appointment to see me and/or take full advantage of the writing center located in 016 Memorial Hall.

The policies and procedures of the University of Delaware honor system will be strictly adhered to in this course.  Investigations of academic dishonesty will be handled through the Undergraduate Student Judicial System.

Late Policy: All assignments must be turned in before the beginning of class on the scheduled date (5:00 pm). Unless prior arrangements are made, late work will result in a deduction of 1 point per day, after 3 days no credit will be earned.
