Understanding the sources, flowpaths, and fate of solutes and contaminants in watersheds

The Watershed Hydrochemistry Group at the University of Delaware is led by Dr. Shreeram Inamdar.  Key questions we seek to address are:

• How do hydrologic and biogeochemical conditions in watersheds influence the transport and fate of solutes and chemicals?
• How do riparian and wetland ecosystems regulate hydrologic and biogeochemical responses of watersheds?
• How can watersheds be managed to reduce pollution or contamination?

We address these questions through a combination of field monitoring and modeling approaches.
