Love in the Time of Nihilism

You ask me why do I quantify as if any old noun clauses apply

When the chips are down

All the things I say you paraphrase away

So what if I have a lot of stuff, can't arbitrate

It breaks my heart

There's a part of me that you—of little credence—do paraphrase away

Say that you believe in us

Take the Clapham omnibus

Don't make a fuss over mereology

Don't dress things up so formal

Do arithmetic like normal

If you wanna keep me warm-night-ly

If I ask you for a true commitment you go all vague

What if I knew how to satisfy you

So you wouldn't have to paraphrase away?

Don't tell me it isn't so

On a Quinean M.O. (meta-ontology!)

Already got me one of those, baby

We have the same desiderata

Tomayto or tomahter

No relationship without relata—maybe...

Nothing nothings all the time

You ask me why

...There's more heaven and earth than blobject-iverse

Don't go make it any worse

(Nothing nothings all the time)

To me the sun is shining

Clouds have silver lining

You sit there reQuining everything

Don't cut where I would paste

Don't let adverbs go to waste

Because you have no taste for mereology

Don't cut where I would paste

Don't let adverbs go to waste

Because you have no taste for near-mereology
