The AED Awards Banquet is held every year shortly before our National Art Education Convention. The purpose is to meet in fellowship as members and to honor those who have made important contributions to art education toward the goals and teaching of visual art education. Over the years, many exemplary art educators, and supporters, have been feted at these ceremonies. Please contact the AED President if you wish to nominate a candidate for an award.
 

At the banquet the Art Educator of the Year is acknowledged for his or her unique accomplishments. Several persons who are not educators, but who have also made contributions, are also honored for their service. The AED Annual Awards Banquet is alternately held at an upstate or downstate location.
