Mission: To Advance the goals of Art Education in the State of Delaware through professional development, service, advocacy, and the advancement of knowledge and leadership.

        Art Educators of Delaware is a state affiliate of the National Art Education Association, NAEA. http://www.naea-reston.org/ Our members are art teachers from the public, private and religiously affiliated schools within Delaware. The membership elects officers and the officers appoint additional directors. When you join AED, you also become a member of NAEA. AED intends to foster a climate of creativity, art scholarship and fellowship within our teaching community. The newsletter is sent to every art educator in the State of Delaware.

        Every year we have faithfully acted as facilitators for the Delaware Regional Scholastic Art Awards and have participated in or assisted with art exhibitions, such as the Artist & Mentor Exhibition, held by the State Visitors Gallery in Dover. We have held many workshops and other organized activities. AED honors those who have made outstanding contributions to Art Education. Over the years our members have held high offices in the National Art Education Association, NAEA. The NAEA, National Art Education Association, National Convention is one of the largest educational gatherings in the nation. There are several hundred workshops featuring, demonstrations, tutorials, research, and exhibits. Guest speakers have included world renowned artists and scholars. The Art Educators of Delaware joins with NAEA in supporting high standards for art education in both the state and the nation.
