We welcome guests and prospective members to our dinner meetings held at the Charcoal Pit Restaurant, Greenbank Rd. and Kirkwood Highway (Rt. 2), Wilmington. Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month (with the exception of July - August) at 6:30 P.M. sharp. In the event of a cancellation we suggest you call Secretary John Farr (302)454-8533 if you plan to attend. We welcome you to come as a guest and leave as a friend.

On the third Monday of each month we have a guest speaker who will present a topic of community interest.

MEMBERSHIP & EXPECTATIONS

All members are expected to attend as many meetings as possible, take a leadership role in the community and with the club, and be prepared to assist those less fortunate in the community. WHO ARE THE LIONS?

LIONS ARE famous for their efforts in the promotion and restoration of vision. They do visual screening, raise money to support eye research, provide eyeglasses to those in need, and sponsor eye care for needy patients.

LIONS ARE constantly striving to improve eye health in their communities.

LIONS ARE men and women who have decided to give something back to their communities, who are dedicated to finding people in need, and who meet those needs in an efficient but caring way.

LIONS ARE serious about their commitment to humanitarian service, but don't mind having a little fun along the way.

LIONS ARE concerned about meeting the needs of the community, but define "community" broadly to include a wider world.
