CISC 320 Directory of Exercise Solutions

This is the directory that contains solutions to some of the assigned exercises. There is a sub-directory for each chapter of the textbook. In each sub-directory, the files are named according to the exercise number from the textbook if the exercise comes from the text. Otherwise, it is numbered according to the lecture in which it was assigned.

For each solution, there are four files with the suffixes, .tex, .pdf, .ps, and .dvi. The .tex file can be viewed in your browser if you have the techexplorer plug-in, but cannot be printed unless you have the professional version of the plug-in. The .pdf file, can be viewed with the Adobe acroread program or plug-in. It can also be printed via acroread. The .ps file can be viewed with ghostview and is a postscript file that can be printed on any printer that can print postscript files (on strauss, for example, one uses the qpr command to print postscript files). The .dvi files can be viewed on strauss via the xdvi filename.dvi command.
