I (Alaa) am a third year Medical Technology major at the University of Delaware. Currently, I am perusing an honors degree with distinction coupled with the pre-medical option. My goals in medical school are not concrete as of yet. In terms of short term plans, I plan to continue melanoma-disintegrin research with Dr. McLane at the University of Delaware. This research concentrates on the role of natural killer cells, snake venom disintegrins, and cancer. I am very optimistic about the results of this research. I hope that it will aid in the search for a cure.
