Effort to coordinate campus-wide health and wellbeing initiatives
Health and wellbeing groups from across the University of Delaware campus have united to form the “Campus Wellbeing Collaborative.” The Collaborative’s goal is to ensure that all of the health and wellbeing needs are met on campus — both for students and employees. Campus partners include Employee Health and Wellbeing; Student Health Services; Healthy HENS; Student Wellness and Health Promotion; Athletics and Recreation; and STAR Health.
The partnership will lay the groundwork for improved coordination on major initiatives.
“All of our areas are tasked with health and wellbeing initiatives, but we need to work more closely together and reduce confusion on what group to turn to for which program,” said Elizabeth Finkle, director of Employee Health and Wellbeing. “If you look at all of partners, there’s an extremely wide-ranging scope of expertise that can make existing programs and new ideas more successful.”
