Nov. 1: Fixing financial system
October 27, 2016
Weinberg Center to host discussion on financial system
The University of Delaware’s John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance will host a program titled “How the Financial System Fails Investors and How to Fix It from a Structural and Governance Perspective” from 9:30 a.m.-noon, Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the Gore Recital Hall of the Roselle Center for the Arts.
Financial and investing institutions form the bedrock of the U.S. economic system. Without them, the economy can’t grow and the capitalistic system would grind to a halt. However, few believe that these institutions work as well as they could.
Discussing the problems and possible solutions will be John Bogle, legendary founder of Vanguard; Jennifer Taub, professor of law at the Vermont Law School; and Stephen Davis, Jon Lukomnik and David Pitt-Watson, the authors of What They Do With Your Money: How the Financial System Fails Us and How to Fix It.
