Panelists discuss critical developments in the auditing profession
Leading minds from the fields of law, corporate governance and accounting visited the University of Delaware recently to discuss the most important current issues within the auditing profession at a program on “The Audit Committee of the Future.”
The event, hosted by UD’s John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance and co-sponsored by the Center for Audit Quality and the Department of Accounting and MIS in UD’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics, featured a panel of experts and professionals including:
- Dennis R. Beresford, executive-in-residence, Terry College of Business, University of Georgia;
- Angela Brock-Kyle, founder and CEO, B.O.A.R.D.S. and audit committee member, Infinity Property and Casualty Corp.;
- Cindy Fornelli, executive director, Center for Audit Quality;
- Randy J. Holland, justice, Delaware Supreme Court;
- Philip Livingston, COO, UASUSA and former CEO of Financial Executives International;
- Paula Loop, leader, PricewaterhouseCooper’s Governance Insights Center;
- Zach Oleksiuk, head of Americas, investment stewardship, BlackRock; and
- John White, chair, corporate and board advisory practice, Cravath, Swaine and Moore LLP.
Moderating the panel was Charles Elson, UD’s Edgar S. Woolard, Jr. Chair in Corporate Governance, professor of finance and director of the Weinberg Center.
