These areas include a large number of individual study carrels.

Four wireless access points have been installed on each floor as well as 36 quad electrical outlets spaced six feet apart, which will greatly facilitate the usage of laptop computers in these areas.

Funding for this work was provided by provost during 2007-2008, and the work was completed during 2008-2009 under the supervision of Gregg Silvis, assistant director for library computing systems at the University of Delaware Library.

“The Library hopes that this increased wireless capability provides an even greater level of information access for the students, faculty, and staff of the University of Delaware,” said Susan Brynteson, vice provost and May Morris Director of Libraries.
