Information for new riders
This area has been designated for those of you who think you might be interested in joining the team. Our team welcomes everyone; whether you've been riding your whole life, or you've never even pet a horse.
Below you will find some general information about where the team rides, the activies we do as a team, and a bit about showing. If you have a specific question, please check out our FAQ page. Basic team info
Coach: Bryan Bradley (302-373-3008)
Shows: *Member participation is not required
*IHSA Regulated
*8-10 shows per academic year plus Regionals, Zones, Nationals and Invitationals according to member qualifications
Membership: *Approximately 100 club members
*Approximately 50 showing members
Time Commitment: *Required mandatory events (1-2 UD hosted shows per semester)
*Weekly meetings (Attendance subject to involvement)
*Optional weekly lessons Team B and Non-showing members (1 hour plus travel time)
*Mandatory weekly lessons Team A (1 hour plus travel time)
*Optional shows (weekends 5am-5pm average)
*Other activities (subject to involvement)
Horses: It is not necessary to own a horse, most members do not.
Experience: None required. Showing is available at all levels and beginners are strongly encouraged.
Other Events: Social events (spirit events and parties), Educational events (speakers and trips), Fundraisers (Fair Hill and pony rides...), Charity Events and more.
