Intern, Tri-State Bird Rescue and
Research, Newark, DE
Full time summer internship. I was involved mostly in bird care, so
lots of feeding and cleaning.
However I also got to give medicine and learn a lot about wildlife
rehabilitation. The staff are really good about taking interns aside
and having training sessions once or twice a week to expand upon the
experience. We even got to do a necropsy. The people there are great to
work with and the internship does have a stipend. I highly recommend
it.
