What We've Done This Year What We Did Last Year |
Meeting Minutes October 31, 2001 1. WVUD which is the University radio station
is offering us the chance to host our own half hour
radio show once a week where we would talk about environmental issues. We're really excited about this and
hopefully it will get started soon. If you are interested in helping and
haven't already told us, please email Laura
Dvorak - ldvorak@udel.edu We need
lots of good ideas for this so anyone who can
help is appreciated. 2. "So yay we got into the
Review" On this past Tuesday there
was an article in the review
talking about our recycling efforts.
That's pretty cool so go us! Hopefully we get a lot done this semester
on recycling. Rosie mentioned that we
should try to find a way to collect and recycle styrofoam because she does
it herself and there is a plant that takes it close by. 3. On October 6th we will be going to plant
trees at 8:00 in the morning. Yeah I know it's early,
but it's gonna be really cool and the more people that help, the faster it
goes. If anyone is interested who
didn't get an email from me with
information, please let me know.
ajoslyn@udel.edu 4. On October 15th, a group will be coming to
talk about the Utah wilderness project that is
going on right now. It will probably
take place at the church on main
street across from the 5 and 10. More
info about that when it gets closer. 5. We're thinking we might have another Green
Fest / Arts for Acres kind of event this year. This would be a big dinner/music kind of
party thing where we could raise money to
donate to help preserve the rain forest or something like that. Any ideas are welcome. |
