Hey Everyone,

Sorry I am a little behind on the minutes from last week's meeting. Turns out I lost the minutes I had taken down (note to all applicants for the secretary position: use a notebook!) and had to get a refresher from Jackie. Anyway, here is a breakdown of the last meeting:

- Congratulations to "The Stewards" who won our Family Feud: Environmental Edition game by answering the most questions on green celebrities and cities!

- We are currently working on plans to go camping in the Delaware River Water Gap in late April/early May. If you are interested, please let me know what weekend(s) work best for you in that time frame. (4/17-19, 4/24-26, 5/1-3, 5/8-10)

- Greenfest: We're starting to plan for May 16th. Mad-Sweet Pangs, Spokey/Speaky, and 61 North will be playing. We need your help sending out the vendor letter... if anyone knows any cool environmental groups/businesses/organizations that are not UD affiliated or on Main st. please send out the attached letter! Also winning tee-shirt and poster designers get a free shirt!!

- If you REALLY want to get involved in S4E, be an officer next year. We will be holding elections soon for next year's officers board. See the attached document for information on how to apply. Please e-mail me if you have any questions about job descriptions or anything on the paper.

Upcoming Events:
3/12: Green Drinks at Caffe Gelato on Main St.
3/21: Tree Planting (signups next meeting)
3/21: Green Expo in Wilmington
3/26: Green Job Fair, Villanova University

Finally, some words of wisdom on eco-friendly skin care from Kiersten that ended our meeting:
Avoid:
- Sodium Lauryl Sulfate: often contaminated with 1,4 dioxane, a known carcinogen
- Parabens and artificial Fragrance: mimic estrogen in body, linked to breast cancer and urinogenital abnormalities
- Propylene Glycol: the penetration enhancer you DON'T want on/in your body
