Thanks to everyone who came out for our first meeting of the semester last Tuesday. Unfortunately we have been having some technical problems with our e-mail account, so the only way we could contact members was through the Facebook group. All the more reason to join it if you haven't already!

The meeting was short, as we didn't want to go into too much stuff if people weren't able to find out about the morning, but we have a great calendar of events shaping up.

March 21 - Tree planting
April 18 - River Cleaning
April 20-April 26 - Earth Week
May 2 - White Clay Day
May 16 - GREENFEST!

Also coming up soon is the Powershift conference in DC from 2/27 - 3/2. We have some members going down for the weekend, so contact Jackie (jweidman@udel.edu) if you are interested in joining.

We discussed the recent announcement of solar panels as the Class of 2009 gift to the school. Check out the most recent issue of The Review or UDaily for information.

Finally, as many people (myself included) are sick, we talked about the merits of using handkerchiefs vs. tissues, and what brands of tissue are most environmentally conscious. Bottom line: avoid Kimberly-Clark.

Our next meeting will be Tuesday March 3 in 118 Sharp Lab. I hope to see you all there!
