Dr. Jeffrey M. Lawrence, a researcher in the field of composite design and fabrication from V System Composites (VSC) presented a brief introductory tutorial on composite materials to the SAMPE-UD Bridge Building Team on Wednesday, February 13, 2008. The presentation included examples of fabric materials and was followed by a group discussion of potential bridge designs which best utilize strength from the various available composite materials.
