You can stay up to date with recent events in SAMPE from our News sections as well as the Events page. We often take tours of facilities themed toward composites processing and research along with engineering.

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering - University of Delaware Student Chapter (SAMPE-UD) is to provide a venue for students in the materials and processing related fields to exchange ideas and interact with the professional sector. SAMPE-UD will coordinate facilities tours of local industries and will organize a seminar series featuring speakers in the materials and process engineering fields. The organization will also maintain close ties to the parent national SAMPE organization as well as the regional Baltimore/Washington DC professional chapter. SAMPE-UD participates in activities such as industrial tours, on campus social events, and engineering outreach. In addition, student members participate in the annual Super Light Weight Composite Bridge Building contests held during the annual SAMPE Conference and Exhibition to learn about advanced material and processing design.
