The College Republicans
The College Republicans is a registered student organization at the University of Delaware dedicated to spreading conservative values and supporting the Republican Party. Our group strives to make a difference on campus, in Delaware, and across the nation. The College Republicans are dedicated to promoting an interest in politics and supporting conservative causes.
The mission of the College Republicans starts on the University of Delaware campus. In the traditionally liberal world of academia, being a conservative is not always easy. Here on campus, the College Republicans give conservatives an opportunity to come together, meet others who share their views, and get involved in promoting their causes. Whether debating the economy, traveling to see John McCain, or raising awareness of government waste, the College Republicans empowers young conservatives to make a difference.
As the long serving speaker of the house Tip O'Neill said, "All politics is local." To this end, the College Republicans work to elect Republican politicians to office in the state of Delaware. Along with our parent organization, the Delaware Federation of College Republicans, we work tirelessly to make a difference in local politics. In a small state like Delaware, every person who makes an effort can have a huge impact. Join us as we put out signs, work phone banks, and make sure that the right candidates get put in office!
In this time of change and uncertainty, it is more important than ever that the men and women serving in Washington are people of value and moral character. It is the duty of every American to stay informed and participate in the electoral process. The College Republicans work to support our great nation and ensure that it remains a beacon of hope and freedom in a changing world.
Come out and join us! We meet every Tuesday in Gore Hall, room 218. We have food! Stop in sometime, and join in the discussions, meet some new friends, and have fun!
