You don't need to raise your own
dog to be part of PROUD - there are
several ways to help out! Below you
will find the different ways you can
be a part of PROUD.
Puppy Raisers: Members who
are either a primary raiser or puppy
helper. Primary raisers are responsible
for all decisions regarding the puppy
(aside from The Seeing Eye). Primary
raisers must have at least one puppy
helper who will help raise the dog
since raising a puppy is a huge responsibility.

Puppy Sitters: Those very
important members who help out puppy
raisers by spending some time with
the dogs - whether it be for a day,
weekend, or even a couple hours. To
become a puppy sitter club members
must pass the written quiz and command
demonstration, as well as complete
10 hours of puppy exposure. If watching
a puppy overnight in on campus housing,
the sitter must also have approved
housing, or get permission.
Voting Members: Full-time
undergraduate students who attend
at least two meetings per semester
and 50% of club events/activities.
Non-Voting Members: Staff,
graduate students, and community members
are welcome to attend our meetings,
but will not have voting rights.
