We have 2 big upcoming fundraising events:
-The first one is Thursday, the 22nd, at Grotto's from 4-9.  Alison will be making a facebook event for this so please send it out to all of your friends.  We passed out the tickets that you need to pay with at the last meeting. If you need more just email NSSLHAatUD@yahoo.com.

-The next event is at Peace-a-Pizza on November 19th from 5-9. 

-Everyone who volunteered at Artfest had a great time!  The art therapist who runs the event, Lisa, will be having regular art classes for multiply disabled people every Friday starting in January.  This will be a great community service opportunity. 

-For those who are interested in Best Buddies, there is a party October 20th in the Hen Zone from 11am-1pm.  All of the Buddies will be there.  Even if you are not matched up with a Buddy, it's always fun to meet/hang out with them.

-We also talked about ELI Conversation Partners.  If anyone who has not previously signed up is interested in helping a person in the process learning of English email NSSLHAatUD@yahoo.com!

-We will be having a Kaplan Financial Aid event on Wednesday, October 28th.  It will be held in Gore 117 at 6pm.  Anyone who is interested in getting more information about Financial Aid options for Grad School should definitely attend!

-For our t-shirts this year we are holding a contest.  The person who has the best idea for a t-shirt design will get theirs free!  Please submit any ideas by November 4th.

-We are going to begin having SLPs come to NSSLHA meetings to talk about their experience from Grad School to their careers now.  If anyone has shadowed or knows any SLPs that they really like please email with their contact info!
