APPLICATION FORM FOR REGISTERED GRADUATE STUDENT ORGANIZATION
1. Name of Organization: Japanese Student Organization.
2. The purpose of this organization is:
- to promote mutual understanding among people from Japan, U.S. and the other countries;
- to facilitate daily life of Japanese students at the university.
a. Describe the specific goals and objectives of the organization as they relate to the purpose:
- This organization is a place where people can send and retrieve information regarding Japan,
U.S. and Delaware.
- This organization participates in international activities as a group regarding Japan.
b. Describe ways in which the university community may benefit from this group becoming a
registered student organization:
- The university community can deepen the understanding of Japan.
- The students at the university can reach various resources related to Japan.
c. Describe how the individual members will benefit from the organization:
- The members other than Japanese can deepen their understanding to Japan.
- Japanese members can retrieve useful information for their life.
3. Describe the nature of any relationship, financial or otherwise, that the organization has with
another student organization or University department:

- Qualification for membership: Matriculated graduate students at the university who are
interested in Japan..
- Qualification for associate membership: Faculty, professional staff, part-time students and
undergraduate students at the university who are interested in Japan.
- Qualification for holding office: Matriculated graduate students at the university.
6. Describe the group's organizational structure, including the responsibilities of officers:
This organization has four kinds of officer(s).
- President who shall call and run meetings and handle day to day affairs.
- Vice-President who shall serve the role of president if the president is absent, unable to serve the
duties of president, or if the president resigns.
- Treasurer who shall be responsible for all group expenditures and revenues. The treasurer shall
sign any checks written by this organization or for purposes of the organization and maintain all
group ledgers.
- Secretary who shall record the events of all meetings of this organization and shall maintain
minutes of those meetings, and shall take attendance of those present at group meetings as
necessary.
