UD Crew Alumni Compete in Schuylkill Navy Regatta

Philadelphia, PA: Delaware Men’s Crew was well represented by alumni Dave Walton (’09) and Pete Seymour (’08), who competed in multiple events at the 152nd Schuylkill Navy Regatta. Walton competed in the men’s intermediate lightweight single (4th: 8:51.70), the men’s open pair, placing (2nd: 7:43.73), and the men’s intermediate double (5th: 7:48.97). Seymour also competed in the men’s intermediate double and placed second in 7:33.11, a narrow 3.50 seconds behind the winning crew from Undine Barge Club. The day was highlighted by Seymour’s emphatic victory in the men’s intermediate single in 8:18.09, defeating the next fastest crew by nearly 9.49 seconds.
