Delaware Duels Holy Cross in Worcester
On Saturday, April 25, the Hen's traveled to Worcester, MA to duel Holy Cross on their home course on Lake Quinsigamond.
Delaware swept a majority of the races, with the exception of the Varsity 8.
Both Delaware's freshman/novice heavyweight and lightweight 8's were in the race against the Holy Cross freshman/novice 8. The Delaware heavyweights earned first place with a time of 6.37.3, followed by the lightweights (6:56.5), and the Holy Cross freshman/novice 8 (7:09.3).
Delaware's 2nd freshman/novice eight also placed first against the Holy Cross 3V/2F (7:33.3) with a time of 7:07.8.
The Delaware 2nd varsity 8 beat the Holy Cross 2V (6:43.3) by over a boat length, rowing the course in 6:39.5
The varsity 8 (6:33.5) lost to Holy Cross (6:29) by a margin of four and a half seconds.
