2009 Dad Vail Regatta Update

Due to weather conditions, races on May 8, 2009 were 1500 meter time trials.

The varsity heavyweight 8+ placed 11th in the time trial with a time of 4:07.503, despite 7 seat's oar collar breaking in the beginning of the race. The semi-final will take place on Saturday at 7:07 am. Delaware will be in lane 5, with Loyola in lane 1, Jacksonville in lane 2, Purdue in lane 3, Grand Valley lane 4, and FIT in lane six.

The freshman/novice heavyweight 4+ placed 19th in their time trial with a time of 4:58.123, missing qualifying for the sem-finals by less than one second.

The varsity lightweight 4+ placed 10th in their time trial with a time of 4:56.429, qualifying for a spot in the semi-finals to take placeat 8:49 am on Saturday morning.

The freshman/novice heavyweight 8+ placed first in their time trial with a time of 4:24.289. Their semi-final will take place at 9:38 am on Saturday. Delaware will be in lane 3 with Michigan in lane 1, USMA in lane 2, LaSalle in lane 4, Roch Tech in lane 5, and UMass in lane 6.

The JV heavywight 8+ placed third in their time trial with a time of 4:31.891. They will move on to the final event to take place at 2:30 pm and race in lane 2, with Purdue in lane 1, Grand Valley in lane 3, Michigan in lane 4, Temple in lane 5, and Jacksonville in lane 6.

The varsity lightweight 8+ placed third in their time trial with a time of 4:32.053. They will move on to the final event to take place at 3:40 pm, and will be in lane 2, with Michigan in lane 1, St. Joe's in lane 3, Georgia Tech in lane 4, Wash U in lane 5, and Penn State in lane 6.
