The Cherry Island Dump is located along I-495. It is not only environmentally destructive and unattractive, but it is a clear example of environmental racism and classism-- those immediately affected by the pollution, smell, and sight are disproportionately people of color and impoverished.

This is also an opportunity to stress the importance of state-wide mandatory RECYCLING. The big issue at hand is that DNREC has proposed to expand this dump, making it the 2nd highest point in Delaware. We need to show opposition to this!
