Steel Bridge Captain
Ryan MorrisseyThe Steel Bridge team is organized and lead by a group of students, and aided by experienced faculty. Every year the team spends the entire academic year designing, fabricating, and competiting a concept steel bridge. The bridge is about 20 feet long, and is designed to carry 2,500 lbs. Our home shop is equipped with a full array of machining equipment, including a mig welder, lathe, CNC mill, and industrial bandsaw.
We are proud of our reputation as an experienced and innovative Steel Bridge Team. Our competion results include multiple national standings, including most recently, 12th in 2008. For the past two years we have been ranked 32nd and 18th in the country when compared to all regions.
