After arrival & Registration
Now you need to:
1) Go to the Foreign Student & Scholar Office(FSSS)
to report your
arrival. Your passport, I-20 and I-94 are needed.
2) Go to the Student Service Center to get your
student card. Your
passport and I-20 and needed.
3) Register in your department and get your
email account. Also you may fill the W2 form. The direction to
your department can be found online.
Or you can get a free campus map from the Student Service Center.
4) Open a bank
account. You may choose Wilmington Trust (on main street)
or WSFS ( in Trabant Student Center). Your passport and I-20 are
needed.
5) Buy a long-distance
calling card by which you are enabled to call your family
when you haven't found a settlement. Some of the choices are :1stphonecard,
phonecards4sale.
You need a debit or credit card to place the order so you might
need the help from others.
6) Familiarize yourself with the campus and
the Internet. It is free to use a computer in Morris Library,
Smith Hall and Spencer Lab. Remember, when traveling around, a
campus map (you can get it from FSSS) always should be in your
hand.
7) Add your email to UDCSSA
email list so that you can keep in touch with us.
